We hold two weekly sessions, Tuesday evening and Thursday morning, in the Emu Room of the beautiful and iconic Victoria Hotel (pictured). Click on Sessions above for details. Goondiwindi is known for its friendliness and country hospitality, which we pride ourselves on extending in our bridge club.

Club champs 2025:

Winners of the 2025 Club Pairs Championship with 66.9% were Mike Rival and Paula Lennon, with a tie for second place with 54.4% between Kerrie Hayes and Stephen Price, and Mary Collins and Len Schofield.

GNOT Teams Championship 2025:

This year we had four teams contesting the GNOT (Grand National Open Teams) competition. The 2025 winners were the team comprising Lea Wood, Bev Coulton, Mike Rival and Paula Lennon with +32 IMPS. Second were Barbie and Mike Mailler, Steven Price and Tracey Lowe with +26 IMPS. The champions will compete in the zonal finals in Toowoomba in August.

The top two teams from the Darling Downs Zone/Area Final will advance to the 64 Team Knockout event played online in September. [posted Fri 1-Jan-16]


Best local pair Goondiwindi Pairs tournament 2025:

Major prize winners and best local pair at the Goondiwindi tournament were grandmother and granddaughter Barb Whitmee and Danah Gibson. Barb and Danah ended with 51.9%, coming 2nd in the B Grade. Danah is our youngest player and rising star in the bridge club. We believe Danah has a bright future in the bridge world.

The congress was expertly run by our director Jo Neary and the weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We look forward as always to next year’s event and catching up with old friends and new. [posted Fri 1-Jan-16]
